About The Project

The Jefferson County Greenways Commission (JCGC) is a public authority which operates Red Mountain Park, Ruffner Mountain Nature Preserve and Turkey Creek Nature Preserve. It is a successor to the former Red Mountain Greenway and Recreational Area Commission established in 2006.

Markstein was engaged to help develop the identity, initial funding presentations and brand standards for the new entity.

Established a clear and cohesive identity for the newly formed commission, providing a strong foundation for fundraising, stakeholder alignment, and public engagement across its network of parks and preserves.
