Birmingham-Jefferson County Port Authority

Elevating BJCPA’s brand, messaging and digital presence

Challenge

The Birmingham-Jefferson County Port Authority (BJCPA) plays a critical role in Alabama’s logistics ecosystem, supporting economic development, freight movement and industrial growth across Jefferson County and the broader region. As the Port continued to expand its capabilities and impact, BJCPA recognized the need for a stronger, more cohesive public presence, one that clearly communicated its value to business leaders, policymakers and community stakeholders.

Solution

Markstein partnered with BJCPA to develop refreshed messaging and an updated visual identity aligned with the Port’s forward-looking mission while honoring its established credibility. We began by creating a strategic messaging toolkit designed to clearly and compellingly articulate BJCPA’s mission, value and regional impact. From there, we designed a polished, fully branded landing page that tells BJCPA’s story, engages diverse audiences and captures interest through a seamless, user-friendly experience. And to further support BJCPA’s evolving narrative, we delivered a thoughtful refresh of their existing logo and visual identity.

Results

Through refreshed messaging, a modernized digital presence and a cohesive visual identity, Markstein helped BJCPA establish a stronger, more confident platform for telling its story and engaging key audiences. The work provided BJCPA with the tools and foundation needed to elevate awareness and support future engagement and growth across multiple channels.
