“Thanks to our preparation with Markstein, we knew exactly what steps we needed to take when our crisis hit. We had a comprehensive roadmap. That foundational work saved us a significant amount of time and mitigated potential monetary and cultural damages.”
Markstein created a crisis communications protocol and scenario plan for a financial institution for issues most likely to impact the bank. Among the issues proactively prepared was fraud and corporate espionage. Subsequently, four individuals defrauded the institution, two internal and two external to the bank. The bank was able to move very quickly when it discovered the issue given the preparation. Markstein worked closely with the bank’s leadership team, regulators and the FBI to navigate internal and external communication during and at the conclusion of its investigation.
