Challenge

Since 2019, Markstein has proudly partnered with Go Build Alabama to help build and sustain our state’s commercial construction workforce. When the pandemic altered the workforce landscape, unforeseen challenges arose for both employers and candidates. In response, Markstein was quick to jump in to support our client with a revamped leads strategy and fresh creative assets.

Solution

Our “Custom Build Your Career” campaign, which speaks to four unique personas, was born from a deep dive into both employer challenges and the motivations of job seekers in a post-pandemic setting. Whether it’s someone who craves adventure, loves solving problems, or is team-first, our target audiences are motivated by the chance to create the career and flexible lifestyle that suits them best. Using bright, upbeat and graphic imagery, this campaign illustrates an empowered workforce and informs ideal candidates about exciting ways they can shape their futures in the skilled trades. 

Results

Since launching our first campaign in January 2020, we have generated more than 150,000 new website visitors to GoBuildAlabama.com. Our lead forms on GoBuildAlabama.com have resulted in more than 8,200 leads to date, and our new email drip campaign was optimized to deliver a 30%+ open rate.
